What the video shows
Everything before it is preparation: kite control, body drag, board recovery. The start itself is a single coordinated movement, a dive of the kite matched to the moment the board is placed under the rider. In flat lagoon water a failed attempt costs nothing, which is why most students reach it inside the first few lessons.
